Record Labels Save Themselves

Although it is too early to say that the record industry has found its
way out of decline, experts agree that labels, major or independent,
are not going away.

In co-producing this multimedia piece about the record industry,
Elsa Butler reported, filmed, photographed and edited the content
and designed the Website for this project.

Mansion Gets New Lease on Life

It has been a mansion, a dance hall and even a boxing gym.
Soon this three-story brick building in the Bronx will take on yet
another incarnation: a community center for grandparents
raising their grandchildren.

For this story, Elsa created an interactive timeline, interactive
architectural rendering andco-produced two videos.

It was selected as the lead story for the bi-weekly
online magazine, NYC24.com.

Electronics are a new gold mine

Think back to the last cell phone, BlackBerry, PC or television you owned. Is it sitting in a closet at home, or did you return it to the manufacturer through a take-back program? If you did send it back, have you thought about where it might have gone afterwards? You might want to. There is about $1 worth of precious metals in your cell phone and enough gold in 200 cell phones to make a gold ring.

Elsa reported, filmed, edited and blogged about
this piece for NPR's Bryant Park Project.
